It is with great pleasure that I share my experience with Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz, regarding the treatment and surgical removal of my gallbladder. I must mention that, Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz is a calm and attentive listener. During the pre-operative stage, he took the time to thoroughly look into my condition, see all the reports and explain in detail. As every patient, I was a bit panicky and wanted to go through the surgery as soon as possible because the pain and related discomfort was getting unbearable . So to be honest, I was a bit upset when Prof. Dr Emre Sivrikoz mentioned that the inflammation would have to first be treated as it could/may pose a problem during the surgery. But his superb ability to listen, explain the condition, put forward the process, the treatment and the surgical procedure in a simple way convinced my family and me that I was in the most capable hands. He ensured every concern and question of ours was addressed thoroughly, allowing me to approach the procedure with confidence rather than fear. My recovery was smoother than I had anticipated, thanks to the detailed post-operative personal follow-up by Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz and his team. I would confidently recommend Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz to anyone experiencing similar health related issues or considering surgery. Writing to offer my highest recommendation of Dr Emre, after having gallbladder removal surgery, I can’t praise him the hospital and all his team enough. As an over seas patient of course I was nervous travelling for surgery and normally it would be a last resort but after this experience going forward it will be my preferred option. I am writing this review as my mother was a patient of Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz, and I would like to share her experience as her daughter. In 2022, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. In our country, we were given very little hope and were told that she would need to live with an ostomy pouch for the rest of her life. Feeling uncertain, we decided to seek further medical opinion in Turkey and consulted Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz. After a thorough and professional re-evaluation of all her tests, a treatment plan was created. First, she underwent radiotherapy, followed by a major surgery during which an ostomy pouch was placed. She remained under close medical supervision for about 20 days. After approximately 5–6 months, the pouch was successfully reversed. Throughout this process, Prof. Dr. Emre Sivrikoz and his team were highly professional, supportive, and compassionate. Since 2022 until now, he has continued following my mother’s condition through regular check-ups and always responds to our concerns with care and kindness. Beyond his professionalism, his humanity, respect, and the way he treats his patients truly make a difference. As a family, we are deeply grateful for everything he has done for my mother. From a situation where we felt hopeless to seeing my mother healthy again, we truly appreciate all his efforts and care. In September 2021, I learned I had rectal cancer. Throughout this process, from beginning to end, Dr. Emre was always by my side, both medically and psychologically. My cancer treatment lasted about a year. During this time, including the surgeries I underwent, Dr. Emre gave me such great confidence from the moment of diagnosis that even when going for surgery, I felt not afraid, but as if I were going for a routine check-up. Because I knew that Dr. Emre knew what was right and would apply the safest and most appropriate treatment. Today, I believe I have overcome cancer, and Dr. Emre's knowledge, experience, approach, and the confidence he gave me played a huge role in this. Even when I have the flu, I sometimes want to consult him; because I have complete trust in his opinions and suggestions. I believe he is a very valuable and successful surgeon not only in Turkey but also internationally. I believe that everyone undergoing treatment can confidently trust Dr. Emre's comments, guidance, and suggestions.
