Clinic Terms of Service

These Clinic Terms of Service (the publisher agreement) apply when you claim a listing, publish offers, or subscribe to a ClinicsCheck plan. They are between the clinic (or the person acting for it) and Opaline Clinique Limited, which operates ClinicsCheck.

Patient visitors are covered by the Terms of Use, not this agreement.

ClinicsCheck is a directory and comparison platform. We host and display your listing, offers and other content you submit. We do not provide medical care, act as your agent, book treatment, or supervise clinical work. A paid plan (Free, Gold or Elite) buys listing tools and offer publishing limits — not a medical ranking and not search position.

Register membership and any quality or comparison score is not an endorsement of your clinic, your clinicians, or your outcomes.

You warrant that:

• you are authorised to act for the clinic named on the listing;
• you have the legal right to treat the patients you offer to treat, including the licences, registrations and insurance required where you practise;
• offers, prices, inclusions, dates, photos and other content you publish are accurate, not misleading, and can be honoured;
• your advertising complies with the rules that apply to you (including any local rules on medical advertising and before/after images).

You are solely responsible for all clinical care, informed consent, insurance, licensing, advertising compliance, refunds, cancellations and disputes with patients. The patient’s contract for treatment is with you, not with ClinicsCheck or Opaline Clinique Limited.

ClinicsCheck only hosts and displays the offers and information you provide. We do not become a party to the treatment relationship.

Gold and Elite are billed through Stripe. That subscription is for platform access (offer publishing and related listing tools). It is separate from any fee a patient pays you, and it does not transfer clinical liability to ClinicsCheck. Patients never pay ClinicsCheck.

You can manage or cancel a paid plan through the Stripe billing portal linked from your dashboard. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not undo offers already published unless you pause or remove them.

We may hide, edit or remove a listing, offer or account if we reasonably believe it is inaccurate, unlawful, misleading, or harmful to patients or to the directory. We may also remove content that a register or a named practitioner asks us to take down.

A ClinicsCheck listing, badge, paid plan or featured (Ad) package is not a recommendation, a quality ranking, or a guarantee of results. Featured packages must stay labelled as ads.

You will indemnify and hold harmless Opaline Clinique Limited and ClinicsCheck, and our officers and staff, against claims, losses, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from: your treatment of patients; your offers or advertising; your failure to hold required licences or insurance; disputes or refunds with patients; or your breach of these terms — except to the extent caused by our own fraud or negligence.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for clinical outcomes, patient complaints, your pricing or availability, or any contract between you and a patient. Where we are liable and the law allows a cap, our total liability to you is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.

These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales. The parties intend that disputes are heard in the courts of England and Wales. This is a template pending lawyer review.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown when you next publish an offer or upgrade a plan, and we may ask you to accept again.
